Andromeda from a Bortle 4
Wandered out to a dark site
Quite a collection for one night
Bubble, Lobster Claw, and more
I promise, it won't be all astrophotography on this site but bear with me here.
Wizard Nebula
It seems this time of year is a difficult one to find targets I can shoot for a reasonable amount of time from my balcony. Managed to get a few subs of the Wizard Nebula last night though. I swear, this page isn't going to be entirely about astrophotography but for the moment it might seem like it.
Clamshell Nebula
Another from my balcony. Last one before the boundary waters wild fire smoke rolled in. Probably going to be a few days before I can get much more.
Veil - Now with 60 x 180 second exposures
Veil is in that perfect location from my balcony at this time.
Sadr with dithering
Did some dithering which allowed for drizzle. Not entirely sure what that means yet but I hear it helps. Still need to learn more about darks and flats too. More on that later.
Eagle and Omega
I learned a bit more about N.I.N.A. (the software I'm using for orchestrating my astrophotography rig) last night.

Grizzly Vedder and Abiding Metaphors
Reading The Edge of Space-Time: Particles, Poetry, and the Cosmic Dream Boogie and waking from a dream of Eddie Vedder as a Grizzly Adams character who roamed the land buying guns from people got me reflecting on abiding metaphors, the stories we navigate the world by.
A few days in

That espresso machine is going to get even more use as I get started on this astrophotography adventure.
